What a fabulous day we spent capturing nature at her finest!

Up at 4am to travel inland to catch the first rays of the day, 24 degrees, fog on the lake, the sound of hundreds if not thousands of birds, ducks, geese, herons...waterfowl galore and a true hunters delight (but no hunting at the State Park).

We traveled around Lake Phelps and then headed into the Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge as some would say "Off the beaten path into the wild".

The day was a workshop with Jamie Konarski Davidson with New Life Photos out of Greenville. This is my second class with her and I just love the small size and one on one lessons. It is so awesome for this old dog to learn a new trick or two!!

Thanks Lady Shutterbugs for a fun day! Looking forward to the next excursion.
